For almost six years, Seek First Ministries has strived to come alongside the local church and Christian community at large to assist in the overall disciple-making process.  While our overall look and focus of methods have changed somewhat, the core message of Seek First remains steadfast—to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness in the hearts of our homes and communities.   With great intentionality, we communicate a message of relational reconciliation through the cross of Jesus Christ that will transform lives and communities.  We count it a blessing to have your friendship, support, and prayers as we collectively pursue this mission.

Like many ministries this year, our support levels dropped significantly.  Yet, in God’s providence, we were actively developing a media site that would afford a greater distribution of our ministry message and at the same time offer an opportunity to develop another “support center” for our ongoing ministry pursuits.  With the help of a few business partners, Joe officially launched Seek First Media in March of last year (a seperate "for profit" entity).  We initially focused on converting the content of our ministry into various media formats, initially including both video illustrations and devotional-style books.  As our support dropped, we gradually began to see a response to our videos and books.  We are hoping that the media company, by God's grace, will become the distribution center for the ministry resources (visit our media site at www.seekfirstmedia.com).

Over the years, God has blessed us and surrounded us with caring and supporting friends.   Through our friends, God has kept this ministry going.  As we praise God for these upcoming opportunities to share the ministry, we also give Him praise for the friends He has placed around both Seek First Ministries and the Waresak family.

We realize that the current economic times has limited many people financially and their ability to give to Seek First.  Yet, I also realize that some of the greatest sacrificial giving happened this past year.  As we praise God for where He has brought us and for where He is taking us, we thank our financial supporters for making it possible to continue the ministry of Seek First.

With so much happening this year that will expand the message of Seek First Ministries and impact literally thousands of new relationships, it is with excitement that we ask you to partner with us in 2010.  It is essential that we have a dedicated group of friends supporting us through their prayers and financial support.  We cannot do it without you.

Given the tremendous relationship-building opportunity, it is our hope and prayer that God will call another man to work alongside Joe this year.  This will allow Joe to continue to focus his work on both content development and sharpening the ministry message through various media formats at a time when many new people will be meeting Seek First for the first time.  We know with God all things are possible.  As such, we are praying that God brings such a man to us for this opportunity to mightily serve Him and at the same time provides the resources to allow this to happen.

The heart of Seek First and our ministry mission is to see Matthew 6:33, “But Seek First the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…,” become a reality for God’s people.  We praise God that He is affording us this opportunity to live and share His message of hope in and through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Blessings in Christ as you daily serve where He has called you.

Grace and peace.

For His Glory,

The Seek First Ministries Board & Joe Waresak, Director
