This past year a colleague involved in full-time ministry made this comment about Seek First Ministries:
“Seek First is a friend to pastors, a mentor to men, and an encouragement to families.”
As we approach our six-year mark in ministry, it is truly a wonderful thing to look back over these past five years and see God’s mighty hand at work. We have made friendships with pastors, mentored men, and by God’s grace impacted families. Yet, we pray that it is only the beginning.
We live in a time of perpetual crossroads. As my wife recently commented to me, “It seems like there is a new battle to fight with each new day.” To some extent, this is how it will always be. While not “of” it, we live “in” the world for a greater purpose to live and share Jesus Christ. Yes, America was in some sense blessed by its Christian heritage. Yet, the realities of those values have greatly dimmed…much like when you place a container over a burning candle.
“No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.”
2 Timothy 2:3-4
As the world darkens around us, trials will come. Yet, with darkness and trials come opportunities. We were made to be His light for this hour.
“You are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14, 16
Please join us in mission as we seek to engage the world for Christ through our resources and our relationships. Together in Christ, God’s will be done for the glory of His name.
Thank you.
In Christ,
Joe Waresak, Director and The Seek First Ministries Board
